Collectible Mystery Charms

This year, we are excited to introduce a special experience for our prospective students: Ursuline’s collectible mystery charms!  During the admissions process, each time you visit us you’ll have the opportunity to collect a set of four unique Ursuline-themed charms. These custom-designed charms are more than just keepsakes — they’re symbols of the spirit, sisterhood, and tradition that make Ursuline so special. Collect all four, and trade duplicates with your friends! Prospective students who have completed an application by January 15th will be invited to a Collect and Connect Event, where they can trade charms and connect with other students and the Ursuline community.

COLLECT A CHARM WHEN YOU VISIT CAMPUS:

  • Attend a Open House or Information Night
  • Join us for a Shadow Day or Campus Tour
  • Attend an Interview
  • Participate in any Prospective Student Events

“Every step you take brings you closer to who you’re meant to be.”

Symbolizes: The Ursuline Sweater represents sisterhood and belonging, reminding us of the supportive community we share.
Challenge: Pay attention to the people who make you feel seen, welcomed, or supported today.

My Dad and I attended An Evening for Ursuline where families helped raise money to make Ursuline even better!

The senior class performed “Last Christmas” at our Annual Talent Show.

This is one of my favorite Ursuline traditions. The annual face-off between juniors vs. seniors at our PowderPuff Game!

STUDENT Q&A

Who better to tell you about UA than the girls who go here everyday?

Read the Q&As below and learn what it is actually like to be a student at Ursuline.

Although balancing school work and practices or rehearsals can be challenging, Ursuline offers many resources to help lighten the load of its students. We have many moments throughout the school day that students can utilize to get their work done. Our 45 minute study block, 30 minute activity, and lunch are all times where we can get ahead on some homework. If you are ever struggling or feeling as though you are falling behind, the Academic Resource Center or the Office of School and College Counseling are always there to support you!

I was a new student last year, and coming to Ursuline for 9th grade was a little nerve
wracking. I only knew one girl in our grade, and I was afraid that everyone who had attended Ursuline in middle school would already have their group of friends. Of course, this was not the case. Every girl at Ursuline is so welcoming and kind, and within thirty seconds of orientation I had already met one of my best friends. Making friends was so easy because of the kind and supportive spirit of our school.

The club culture at Ursuline is strong! During the annual Club Fair you can sign up for any club that interests you. If you are passionate about a specific topic, sport, or activity, there is probably already a club for you, but if not, you are encouraged to start a new club! This past year, I started a dance club at Ursuline that has now become a dance team. Whatever your interests are, there is definitely a way for you to express yourself through clubs!

It is so hard to choose! Theology with Ms. Racine and English with Mr. Mayer are some of my favorite classes I have taken at Ursuline. I loved the curriculum in both and Ms. Racine and Mr. Mayer are such kind and energetic teachers. I loved both these classes because of how much these teachers loved what they were teaching, which made the class so much more interesting. I also really love Ms. MacKenzie’s AP Computer Science class because it is so cool to be able to build an app or game from scratch.

Wearing a uniform everyday makes getting ready for school in the mornings so much easier! There is no thinking needed or decision-making required when you get up in the morning because the clothes are already chosen. I also love the adaptations made to the uniform in the winter to stay warm! And, we get a fun break from the uniform on Spirit Days which are the first Friday of every month to show our Ursuline pride in a fun and more casual way.

I always look forward to the sports Pep Rallies each season! It is so fun to see all the teams and their different dances and routines that they create. I also love the Talent Show which happens every year on the day we get out for Christmas break! It is not only enjoyable to watch all of my classmates’ talents and performances, but also it is such a fun way to come together as a school right before we leave for two weeks to celebrate the holidays with our families.

The school day at Ursuline runs from 8:00am -2:46pm. Each day begins in Advisory (which functions like a homeroom). Then, the first class of the day starts at 8:10am. There are 3 minutes in between classes and each class is 45 minutes long. There are 8 days in the schedule that rotate so that one class drops each day. We have an “Activity Period” from 9:46am-10:16am every morning during which students can participate in clubs, meet with a teacher, or grab a snack from the Tea Room! Some students will have “First Lunch” and attend two classes before lunch and then their last three classes after lunch. Others will attend “Second Lunch” and have three classes before lunch and two classes after lunch.

How available and engaging the teachers are! Every teacher is willing to help and
encourages their students to ask questions. It is not unusual to see teachers supporting their students at events outside the classroom, such as sports games or the plays/musicals. I really enjoy interacting with my teachers.
